We work with children ages 5-16.
We welcome all beginners, including children that have never played chess before. During the sessions, we will explain how the game works and ensure your child is supported along the way.
During the first lesson, we will work with your child to determine what level they are most comfortable with. They will play with children at a similar level to ensure they are challenged enough but not overwhelmed. All levels will receive support from our experienced instructors.
Our instructors have expansive experience leading multi-level groups of players and teaching chess and logic concepts at multiple levels. Children with prior chess experience will be placed in groups according to their level, ensuring that they are challenged enough and exploring new concepts at an appropriate pace. Additionally, many of the concepts we will explore can benefit both beginners and more advanced players.
No, we will provide everything you need!
We believe that a formal curriculum rooted in logic and strategy games will prepare your child to be a better player and develop strategic thinking skills. That is why we only work with experienced instructors and follow a formal curriculum designed by our founders, grandmasters Eugene Perelshteyn and Leonid Kritz.
Our lessons are in-person. In some communities, we deliver lessons after classes, right in your child's school; we may also deliver lessons in a public location, like the library. Please inquire about options in your town.
Remote lessons may be available. Contact us to confirm availability.
